ITRA Referee Workshops 2011:

      

Please read the following dates for ITRA Referee Workshops.  ITRA takes great pride in the standards of our Referees, as that is how our leagues may be judged by tag teams and players.


Not only must every Rookie Referee attend the required minimum of 2 coaching workshops, but you must also pass the exam on the final workshop!


Rookie Refs (complete beginner &/or never officiated with ITRA) must attend 2 of the Coaching Workshops and the Exam date which is stated beside each of the Regional Venues.  It is possible to do ITRA Referee Exam in any Regional Venue if some dates do not suit.


Experienced Refs (1+ year ITRA) must attend 1 of any of the workshops to brush up on Laws, decision making and positioning.  You will also receive your ‘new’ Alive Outside ref polo shirt.

All Workshops are from 18:45 - 21:30
The Theory is from 18:45 - 20:00 (NEW Referee coaching video/Laws questionnaire/theory)
The Practical Tag Refereeing is from 20:00 - 21:30 (playing and whistle blowing)

Rookie Referee Workshop #1 – Wednesday 4th May
Rookie Referee Theory + Practical Exam – Thursday 12th May * Compulsory attendance; to pass/fail Referee Examination.

Every Referee MUST book into each workshop with Kats in the Referee Dept in advance of the workshop dates by emailing or calling the office.


You will need the following for Workshops:
  • Pen & paper
  • Sports kit for going outside (suitable footwear; runners / boots)
  • Tag match shorts if you have them

Please do not hesitate to contact Kats in the Ref Dept between 9am – 5pm, Mon – Fri.  As most tag matches kick off from 19:00 onwards... it is very important you do not leave it last minute to cancel.
