GET INTO TAG
Looking for something a bit more relaxed? Want to be taught how to play in a less competitive, more social environment? Beginner tag may be exactly what you're looking for!
Learn to play
at your own pace
For lots of people, tag is a simple enough sport to pick up, and they're happy to do it by joining a team and learning through making mistakes. Some people, especially those who have limited experience of playing sports, prefer something more easy-going and supportive, where the focus is on learning how to play the game and less about the result.
We run beginner leagues for full teams to enter and play against each other At these events, the referees are specifically instructed to focus on helping the teams get familiar with the game. We do not allow experienced players to play in these leagues.
We also run individual beginner events, where you can sign up to learn and get put into a team after a few weeks of coaching and games. It's a great way to meet new people while learning a fun, social sport!
Last, we run "Individual teams" where you can sign up on your own and join a group of people who are already playing. For those who are a little more used to team sports, this is often the ideal way to learn to play tag as it mostly involves learning by doing.
