Welcome to Just For Craic Tag Rugby

Get out, get active, get laughing - Just For Craic tag rugby is the easiest way to meet people, try something new and have fun. No experience needed, just bring yourself and we’ll do the rest.

🏉 AH GO ON... IT'S JUST FOR CRAIC!

The most exciting thing to happen to tag in years is here. Over 600 new players have already jumped in this year through Just For Craic. Many had never played before. Some were new to the area. Others were coming back to sport after years away. Plenty signed up on their own and walked away with new friends.

You will have a chance to have fun, get active and meet new people with tag rugby at brilliant city centre venues on weekday evenings. Sign up as an individual and play Just For Craic - a chance to get outdoors, make friends and enjoy some exercise.

Tag rugby is one of the most social sports you can play. It’s easy to pick up and we’ll walk you through the basics. No experience is needed. Our coordinators will run friendly, relaxed weekly games at top venues in Dublin, Limerick, Galway and Kildare.

And when the final whistle blows, the craic carries on at our lively post-match meetups in local spots.

IT'S SOCIAL & FUN!

Just For Craic player:

"I wake up excited on a Thursday morning - it’s the best part of my week"

Getting started with tag rugby in 2025 couldn’t be easier. Pick your venue, sign up as an individual and before the season starts we’ll send you a link to your group’s WhatsApp chat. That’s where you’ll get match times, social plans and a quick hello from your new teammates.

All you need is a pair of trainers or boots with plastic studs and tag rugby shorts. If you sign up with a friend, we’ll make sure you’re in the same group. Most people join on their own - and soon find themselves with a whole new circle of friends.

  • I'm looking to enter a work team
That's great! We have created a number of "corporate" competitions in areas that have been popular with such teams. These are currently scheduled for Pembroke Cricket Club, Pembroke Hockey Club, and TUD Blanchardstown and can be accessed under our Play Tag -> Register section. However, any beginner or novice league would be suitable and corporate teams have often played with great success in Drumcondra, UCD, Terenure and, to be honest, everywhere. Leagues which are marked as corporate or beginner/novice will benefit from a bit more sympathy in refereeing and avoid the mismatch of regular tag teams meeting players in their first game. Corporate teams can opt to "pay by cheque or bank transfer" and we can make payment arrangements with your company directly. Get in touch with customer.care@tagrugby.ie if you'd like to chat further.
  • What is an FAQ section?
An FAQ section can be used to quickly answer common questions about you or your business, such as “Where do you ship to?”, “What are your opening hours?” or “How can I book a service?” It’s a great way to help people navigate your site and can even boost your site’s SEO.
