We’re adding a brand-new night of Tag Rugby in Drumcondra at one of our most popular Dublin venues — Belvedere Rugby Grounds on Distillery Road.

From Tuesday 22nd September you can join us for 9 weeks of mixed social Tag Rugby, with games running from 18:45 onwards.

Whether you’ve been playing tag for years, are putting together a team for the first time, or just fancy doing something active and social during the week, Drumcondra is a brilliant place to play.

WHY DRUMCONDRA?

There’s a reason Drumcondra has become one of our most popular Dublin venues.

You’ll be playing on an excellent all-weather 4G surface at Belvedere Rugby Grounds, just off Distillery Road and in the shadow of Croke Park.

It’s ideally located for anyone living or working in Dublin City Centre, Drumcondra, Glasnevin, Phibsborough, Clontarf and across the north side, with good public transport links and parking options at the venue.

And tag doesn’t necessarily finish at the final whistle.

With plenty of pubs and restaurants nearby, there are lots of options for an after-match drink, food or a catch-up with your team.

Our Drumcondra league is all about getting people out playing.

Tag Rugby is a fast-moving, non-contact sport that's easy to pick up and, most importantly, great fun to play. Games are mixed, social and designed to suit a broad range of abilities.

You don’t need to have played rugby before. You don’t need to be super fit. And you definitely don’t need a team full of experienced tag players. If you can get a group of friends, colleagues, housemates or former teammates together, we'll take care of the rest.

NEW TO TAG? PERFECT

JOIN AS AN INDIVIDUAL

Tag Rugby is one of the easiest team sports to get into.

There’s no tackling, no scrums and no rucks. Instead, every player wears tag shorts with a tag on each hip. Defenders stop the attacking player by removing one of their tags.

It doesn’t take long to learn the basics, and our referees and venue team will help newer players get up to speed.

So if this is your first league, that's perfect!
