After the hugely successful Tag World Cup last month in Limerick, ITRA is making a number of internal staff changes, which will help grow the game of Tag Rugby in Ireland.
Firstly, Simon Bewley, ITRA Director and Founder back in 2000 (pictured above), will be formally taking responsibility for the following four areas of the company:
Business Development for New and Large-scale Events
Junior Tag Programme for Primary & Secondary Schools
International Tag Programme, including a 3 Year Plan up to the next Tag World Cup in Australia 2026
ITRA Representative on the International Tag Federation (ITF) board
This means that Peadar Niland, Tournament Director for TWC2023, will no longer be the primary point of contact for Team Ireland players and management, enabling Peadar to focus on other parts of the business.
Lucinda Wilson, who has been our Customer Care Administrator since February, liaising with many of you on your payment, fixture and team kit queries, is finishing up her contract with us at the end of September so we'd like to thank Lucinda for her great work over the past 7 months and wish her all the best in her future career.
Jack Leahy (General Manager) and Charles Davis (Operations Manager) will continue to work with you on the day-to-day operations of our weekly leagues and events, with support from Aidan Walsh (Director of Operations) and Michael McElligott (Senior Commercial Manager).
Hosting and running a hugely successful Tag World Cup in August (view highlights reel here) has opened up a number of opportunities for us to take the sport to another level - and we look forward to working with you, the 10,000 Irish players, to develop Tag Rugby into an even better sport in the future.
Feel free to get in touch with any of us via the email links on our names above.
