Tag Rugby in Rathgar
The High School boasts the most modern playing surface of our venues, with a 4G rugby pitch installed in 2019. It has great kick-off times, good accessibility and a great vibe every Tuesday and Thursday.
ABOUT THE VENUE
High School is served by the 14, the 15 and the 15B buses, which run regularly from the city and other suburbs. There is loads of parking for cars and a covered bike shelter.
Bottlers Bank and the 108 are the teams' favourite pubs in Rathgar, just down the road in the village.
The venue has a 4G all-weather rugby pitch with modern floodlights. Trainers and plastic studs are ideal, particularly the latter. No metal studs are allowed at all in any tag venues.
Tuesday tag in Rathgar is mixed social, suitable for beginners and featuring some intermediate teams. Thursday night tag is women's (all ages) and Men's Masters (35-80) on an individual sign-up basis.
We play in Rathgar year-round, with a break in August and September. Tuesday and Thursday kick-offs are either 19:10 or 19:55.
