The Irish Tag Rugby Association is delighted to be hosting the Tag Rugby Tournament in aid of Orbis Ireland.
The event takes place in Monkstown RFC in Park Lane, Sandymount, on Friday 4th April from 2pm, with on-site afters in the club bar from 6pm.
This is a charity tournament in aid of Orbis Ireland. Teams can use this registration portal to sign up for the tournament. You will subsequently be invoiced by Orbis for the full fee of 2,500 EUR, which covers your team's entry and charitable donation.
Tag rugby is a mixed, social sport played for fun by people all over Ireland. Each team should have a maximum of 14 players. It is strictly non-contact to enable everyone to have fun playing. Teams are 7-a-side with a maximum of 4 men on the pitch at any given time. Teams usually play with three female players, who have a score bonus to encourage a proper mixed sporting experience. See more about how the game is played here.
You'll need tag rugby shorts (rented to those who don't have their own) and we can arrange a custom kit if you'd like something for your company team. Prices for a team shirt and shorts start at 50 euro per person, and you can arrange it with us via teamkit@tagrugby.ie.
The pitches are grass, so you're best off with plastic studs if you have them. Astro runners are a great shout too. Tag doesn't allow metal studs - no one wants that when they're wearing runners!
We have only 16 spaces available - so get your team registration in quick!
Any questions can be directed to jack.leahy@tagrugby.ie.
